Using a real basketball would have been better. A different background color would also help.

Nice composition and contrast. The black frame works well with the lines on the ball. I have one of the other B-Ball pictures and wished I'd used a lighter background like yours. Hope yours is doing better than mine.

Nice composition but the yellow light took the orange out of the ball :( needs more red.

The composition in this image is strong in this image. Judging from the white halo around the edge of the ball this image looks like it might have been overfocused. I suspect it had poor focus to start with. The low depth of field where the closest part of the basketball is not focused does not work so well with me in this or other images I see it in when it is the main subject of the image.

clean composition, background lacks interest, perhaps it needs something to put it into some context, or sense of location.
