|This was done in a church nursery. The lighting is all natural -- it was a rainy evening and the windows in the room face west. The set up was toy animals against the light blue walls bearing painted Old Testament scenes (they show up in some of the outtakes, but not here really). Anyway, I took several long exposure shots with the camera held in one position for several seconds at a time. I took several shots of each idea but only one of this idea for some reason, so the original was hard to work with -- very cloudy and flat.
Convert from RAW. Then in PSP X2, rotate/crop, curves, levels, HSL (boosted saturation), agressive sharpen(25/100/-), noise removal, resize, JPG.
This was fun. I have no idea how it's going to do ("bad" is usually a safe bet), but I was trying to eschew the cliche long exposure motions shots of traffic and night scenes, the likes of which I think we'll see a lot of in this challenge. I liked the cubism/orphism feel of this image (completely accidental). And the whole scene with the errant shark makes me laugh.
