This was my carrying piece in our most recent IORG (Masonic group, Rainbow Girls) installation. I was installed as Charity, so it was a pretty big ceremony for me. You can't see them, but the feathers on the left side of the mask are purple--very, very pretty little mask. The red wooden roses are rather nice, too. I'm so glad I still have them; I found them in Disney World, I think. You can see the stem to the one (dead) real rose in the vase.
Cropped the original image twice, scaled it down, applied a sharpening filter, used a dodge tool, softglow filter, sharpened, fuzzy select tool used to dodge parts of the blinds in the back, JPEG quality reduced to 97% (just small enough file size to fit, not enough to affect, from what I could see).
Wish the blinds hadn't been there, but y'know what? I'm not a professional, and I need to kick this perfectionist habit, anyway, so I'll deal. On that note, I feel like it would have been a better photo if I had done the same with the background in the top corners as I had with the bottom corners. It took a lot of work, but that might have actually looked better... |
