The first Space Shuttle launch, shuttle Columbia.
Canon TX with Vivitar Series 1, 70-210 and Vivitar 2x telextender. E Chrome 200. Shot into the sunrise from across the Banana River, about 9 miles from the launch. We camped there 3 days waiting for the launch.

Cool shot. Glad you posted this. I have images of it when it piggy-backed a ride on a 747 and flew over Montreal before its initial launch. Ahhh the memories.

Great capture. Kinda eerie and foreboding. LookS like the air was heavy and the noise adds to the effect. Nice work!
