What a great find this place is! I love this series. The top one is especially good - the couch sitting there, taking in the sun, perhaps longing for past days when it was noticed, used. Now it just sits, takes in the sun, waits. |

Amazing how something so clean can become something ugly and dirty in time. heheh..all I think about when viewing the empty space "this would make a great dance studio"..hahhaa.. great shots. |

The top photo is my favorite. There is something that I really like about the open windows with the light coming in. The range of light to dark is very good. |

Another great couple of pics of these abandoned buildings. The lighting is what really strikes me and adds to the lonely and desolate feeling of these photos. Nicely done and I'll keep an eye on that portfolio. |

Both scenes are excellently captured. The lighting here is top notch (looks all natural). I have a preference to the photo at the top, maybe because of the additional character of the windows themself.

Wow! I LOVE these photos. Both of them are so strong! I think I would love to see them by themselves -- just to see them full size and soak in the textures and the drama of each one closer up. That is such an amazing place for photography. I hope we see lots more of your work from that place. And again, your lighting is exquisite.

This must be an awesome place to explore. I can understand how it may give you the creeps though. Both of the images are wonderful. The sun through the window highlighting the bed is really cool. However, the photo of the sofa holds my attention more. |

It is spooky - each image is powerful enough to stand on it's own and here they actually compete for the eye's attention. These images would make an excellent series! |

This has a lot going for it: fascinating subject, fantastic natural light, and strong B&W. I wish I had something like this to shoot, but not much like it around here. The others in your portfolio are just as interesting. |

I would love to find a place like that around here to take photos. Very interesting shots. I love your whole series on this place. |

steve, it's not an insane asylum, it was a hospital for lung deseases (tuberculosis) and included two sanatoriums. you can read about it's history here on wiki.

I'm guessing this is an Insane Asylum? Not much info on the internet about it but it doesn't look like a fun place...probably, safe to say?
"fear", I get but the "love" part, not so.
Great shot's. This is always intrigueing subject matter because we all know there are so many stories within those walls. The older the walls the creepier the story. |
