 This was inspired by several shots. This is my lovely wife again. I'm finally getting maternity shots of the woman who inspired me to start this journey. This one is out of my comfort zone but it's a Free Study so all the more reason to experiment a bit.

I like your use of backlighting here but her stance and the way that her arms are being held gives me more of a dispair feeling. I'm not sure if this pose is very flattering to me for that reason, sorry.

If she wasn't wanting her face to be seen I would've maybe rather opted to have her sit with her back slightly toward the camera. Then she could turn her face away from the camera enough to not be seen but still allowing her belly to be seen from the side like it is. 6 -BB

I understand the reluctance of the nude model, possibly moreso the pregnant nude, but his is just so gorgeous that I feel let down that there aren't eyes and a face to connect with. Beautiful baby bump. :) 7

Maybe the "hiding" aspect is intended, but to me it creates mainly the impression the model is not really comfortable with being photographed.

I think this is wonderful. A lil bit of a Softening filter may have given it a bit more, just would have made the picture I think.
