Wow...I am finding out about all sorts of magazines that I never knew existed. Fine shot, good detail like the tones but the trees in the background and his poncho scream color to me. GREAT face and outfit5.

A good image, though not particularly compelling to me personally. I think the shot would have turned out much better if you set the exposure on the bright sky, then used fill flash to light the subject. You'd have captured tone in the sky and the background trees wouldn't be breaking up. Also, a plain (or less contrasty) blanket would allow more opportunities for reading type over the photo.

Don't think this picture really gets the point accross for a muzzleloader magazine.

The sky is just really too bright I think. I may have liked this one better in color. Interesting guy, though. Good subject.

Looks a little bit over sharpend..? I would of like to see all of the gun or been at a different POV.
HBC blanket? I wish I could see this in color. Love this kind of thing. Mountain-MEN!! The bravest of all.
