Not an effect I care for in processing, but the spookiness is carried by the B&W and the blur.

i like the try for the 'spooky' look, i just think it would have worked better from a lower angle?

Very good. The BW works great as well as the shallow dof giving it a ghostly surreal quality. Were you perched on a tree?
