This photo was taken out the back of Tullamarine, out near the Melbourne Airport and the Maribrynong River (-37.700554,144.84794). Driving home from the other side of the city, we were admiring the beautiful sunset and I was cursing that I was unable to stop on the freeway to capture it. Thankfully, it hadn't completely disappeared by the time we got close to home and I took a slight detour in order to capture this image for the Fences II challenge.
The original was a bit dark, but nothing that a bit of post-processing can't handle.
Post-Processing: Tweak exposure up 0.67, lots of fill light, luminance smoothing and colour noise reduction to reduce the noise. Touch of contrast and brightness, luminance shift blue down, saturation shift blue and purple up. Finally, pass the image through Noise Ninja and voila. |
