What a great picture and I am stunned it scored so low (especially when I see some of the ones that beat it)

You have pulled off a great trick here, not only about the moment in time that you have caught which is priceless, but also by the fact that you have combined a really strong sharpness in the shot (look at the mothers tongue) whilst still keeping the softness of the fur (especially on the kitten which I just want to reach out and touch)

Of all the suckling animal shots, this is my favorite due to the caring activity by the mother.

It seems to draw my eye out of the scene on both right and left edges... The scen is good and the mom is good... but the composition is off.

I dont like the lighting, the frontal flash is really harsh. It's a cute picture, but it just doesnt work for me.

Cats always win points with me, good adaptation of the theme, some funny shadows behind mom's nose. Processing might have the tongue a bit too red?
