 This hawk(?) caught something and was pecking on it all day right in my back yards. I had several good shots to choose from. Picked this one becaue the bird is sharp and stands out from the background. It was on the groud most of the time where it belnded in more.

Hand held at 300mm (450 eq) with Nikon 70-300 vr f5.6 (wide open) at 1/125.

My first raw conversion for a challenge!

Converted and edited in PSE6 -- Levels, contrast, saturation, USM, resize, USM save for web.
