This is an actual buzzard that was on a light pole outside of our bathroom window. He flapped his wings just at the right time. I did the rest, including the mountains, using brushes and filters in photoshop. And of course, some layers. ;~)

Beyond the blue horizon
waits a beautiful dream
Goodbye to things that bore me
Joy is waiting for me

I see a new horizon
My life has only begun
Beyond the blue horizon
Lies a rising sun

Beyond the blue horizon
Waits a beautiful day
Goodbye to things that bore me
Joy is waiting for me

I see a new horizon
My life has only beguin
Beyond the blue horizon
Lies a rising sun

Beyond the blue horizon
Lies a rising sun

(following SJCarter who seems to be resurrecting himself).

I love this. And what a tribute to the buzzard, a valued member of the chain.

Perfect choice of processing. Love the buzzards downward head and gloomy presence.

I love the whole thing! I particularly love the sun flare -- it's awesome, really looks real but maybe not??? :-) Holy cow, Judy, great processing on this one!!!!!

very cool :) we will soon have turkey vultures near us (when ever the %*&*& winter leaves!) down our road they gather in the early morning in the tallest trees opening their wings to the warming sun.

This is wonderful, Judy. I love this bird - it has the hard edge of a buzzard and yet it is so hopeful with the light behind it. Excellent PP work. The words are fabulous. I should put them up on my bathroom mirror.

You took an ugly bird, gave it a beautiful setting and made it shine!

Wow, magnificent. Your processing on this is outstanding, Judy. I love the details that you added, including that well-placed lens flare.
