 Cool threads... It's in because I think the colors are pretty.

BTW - it's a close up of a rainbow scarf. I used the reverse ring on my 40-150 lens.

POST: I just don't get warm feelings when looking at this. (even tho it's a scarf lol). I interpreted WARM to be strong bold colors. BAH :) to all of you who looked only at the reds (which I don't really see any true reds btw) and yellows. Oh and this would have been slaughtered in the WARM challenge.

The bokeh steals the show here - brilliant, delightful. I guess if you consider "cool" to be sorta depressive and "warm" to be lively, this might skew more toward warm. But luckily I neither voted this challenge or care to be concerned with DNMC B.S., so you just get a "yay" from me for this cheery macro. :)

This is excellent - beautiful bokeh and wonderful colors - definitely cool. Don't see what the problem was except for misinformation on part of some voters.

Top bokeh which provides a wonderful kalaeidoscope of colours as a background to the really sharp threads in the foreground.

your reds are purple. these are definitely cool colors, but you're going to get kneejerk responses from people who have a list of which colors are cool and which are warm, because they have red and yellow on their "warm" list. It's a classic example of looking at rules instead of photographs.

Interesting, I see no reds. Fuscia and purples but not a single red. Oh well you can't expect everyone to have a sense of color.
You did however beat me! Someone had the nerve to mention that mine wasn't completely comprised of cool colors.

Yes, this falls into the cool toned palette despite the "red" - red can be warm (if it has yellow) or cool (if it has blue). We needed more of the voters to have worked with textiles, with design - if you were to design a room with this color scheme, it would most definitely be "cool". And cool can be vibrant. Awesome macro by the way. Incredibly rich, wonderful bokeh patterns.

warm, cool colors.......who cares? It's a great shot with a lot of vivid colors that catch attention! Very eye grabbing and would likely make a terrific blow up on a canvas for an office area!!! Really love this shot! Very artsy-abstract!

This picture is really neat and well composed. But yellow and red are warm colors, which would have been better in the warm color challenge.

There is so much red and yellow in this beautiful image that I don't think it quite fits the challenge. The blues and purples are definitely cool, but you used the whole spectrum rather than keeping to the cool end. Still I like it so much that it's going in my favorites.
