 taken on an overcast day in my backyard. every few days a flock of these guys show up and eat the buds or left over berries from last year.

I like the comp and the contrast. However a different POV (IMO)that would let me see more of the bird's upper portion would suit me better.

I think you were on the wrong side of the branch - the bird is facing away from you.

Bird but- I like bird breast better. colors are brighter up front.
