Well work took me across to the Middle East this week, I stayed in Dubai for a couple of days but unfortunately my schedule did not really allow me to go out and take many photos while I was there.

However the fates smiled upon me as from the room in the hotel where I was staying I could see the Burj Al Arab (truely a stunning building)

This photograph was taken from my room on the 5th floor leaning through a small gap in the window. It was taken at about 6:30 in the morning before there was too much traffic around and the haze of pollution fell upon the city although you can see atthe bottom of the frame there is a little haze and the sky is not the stunning blue of advertisement posters

I am not sure how it is going to do in the challenge, not least of all because I know a few pictures of the Burj al Arab have already been entered in other challenges, I have to say I love it though, when I knew I was going to Dubai this was a shot I wanted to come home with and given the circumstances I think it worked out as well as I could have hoped

How exciting this trip must have been for you. That building is stunning, i bet even more so in real life. I have seen it in documentaries and the thought of it just blows my mind.

So this is not some airport in France then? hehe

I bet this is gorgeous to see in person, especially when contrasting against a blue sky. I don't know why this did not score higher. Looks centered to me. Oh, I like the white line in the border. I think that's a great complement to the building.

Looks like a wonderful place to visit, more for fun than work though.

What a stunning building. They didn't have that when I was there.

BEautiful building- looks like a sail on a sailboat. Really could have used some clouds for depth but hey- you take what's given!! Nice.

A little saturation might give this photo more life.

For this to be really centred I'd like to see it square on. As it stands it demands to be positioned to one side of the frame.
