I'm surprised this didn't score higher. Maybe it was cat haters voting? The lighting and composition are great and I like the cat's expression -- it looks like it is about to pounce

Barbara, what a great image. Fantastic capture of your subject and I love the way that you have done the B&W conversion so that the image does not lose any of its sharpness but still has a soft textured kitten fur quality to it

This is not centred. I see the subject in a "square" that sits in the top left of the frame. The background forming an "L" in the right and bottom of the frame.
