 this will probably kill my string of 5's, but I just wanted to enter something....I can honestly say that I'm addicted to DPC and must submit to any challenge that I'm able to. I originally told my wife that I wasn't going to enter the challenge since we'll be away on vacation, but I said, what they hell...I have an idea. I know that there are a lot of people that do not like selective desaturation, but I like this one. Literally all I did was take the reds all the way down and bumped yellow up ever so slightly. My wife's ear ring is a silver color orginally and the color on the desat didn't change it....so it gave it the look that I wanted....as in both ear dressings still being in "color".

I'll be in Jamaica all this week and won't be able to keep hitting that update button....so I hope the voters are kind....

I attention is deftly drawn first to the flower. I would never be able to tell it was a body parts challenge. But overall it's a very good shot all done.

I like your DOF and the partial desat. level of deails is great. well exposed.

I learned my lesson before. The idea is awesome, just have to be careful with the saturation of the color. Too much makes it look like it was edited in afterwards. Calm it down a little and it would fit in a little more. But its always up to the photographer. I do the same stuff and enjoy it.

I think the composition would have been more effective without the selective desaturation, probably all in b/w.

not a fan of the selective desat, sorry. The colored flower seems to be the subject, not the ear

With the saturation of the flower, it totally detracts from the body part IMHO. ;~)
