Had just taken of in the car for a shoot for this challenge when I noticed an Osprey flying around finding a place to pull over, but the Osprey had flown on, then I noticed it was turning back towards me, Knowing that trying to follow a bird in flight with a tripod would not work set about shooting hand held as the Osprey got closer, with the sun behind me most of the time was able to get in a few shots before it flew off into the distance. When this shot was taken the Osprey seemed to have me in it’s sights and dipped the wing letting the sun hit the head & wing feathers.

great shot .. love that intense blue sky as a background for the bird .. the focus is brilliant on that eye .. seems like he's looking right at you .. :)

good job at capturing the bird midair, while keeping that sky so blue! Crisp, sharp contrast really adds to the photo.

This is an excellent capture of a flying bird. Unfortunately, I think this picture would work better in another challenge where you could crop it to give more space in front of the bird than behind.
