 Long exposures can be problematic when your subject has shaky hands. After looking at this shot, I decided that the blur added something to the shot, like she's working her magic or something. Lighting the crystal ball was a bit of a challenge though I eventually solved the problem with the creative use of a light board.

The hand blur and highlights are a little distracting to me. I think just a straight photo of a medium over a lightly lit ball would have rocked the challenge.

seems like it would be stronger if her eyes were in focus instead of the crystal ball
