 I took about 200 images for a recent challenge, ended up not entering any of them... I find self portraits difficult... the difficulty is up to the 10th degree when you toss a kid or two into the mix.

Anyhow... Here is my nine month old son Samuel and I. I love the contrasts. And "This Moment" is to be enjoyed.

Pretty much a straight desat, adjust levels, contrast, cropped, resize, USM.

Lovely contrasts both colour and size. Glad you are able to use at least one of the shots.

Awesome shot! I love the contrast in skin tones between Samuel and yourself. The one thing I don't like about the composition is Samuel's thumb being tucked down and your pinky finger comeing out..it looks strange. It is a great capture though and that is just a nitpick!

PS, I have a son named Samuel as well :)

Very nice! I like the contrast between the hands, in tone and size. It never ceases to amaze me of the detail of a childs hands or feet, i look at my daughters fingers and just think "WOW". Great pic to have, congrats.

There a CD cover of a guy named Dominic Miller (Stings guitarist) where his 2 year old son walked up to his guitar while he was playing and touched the fretboard and this reminded me of that. Very sweet.

Great emotional image. I'd like to see a deeper range of focus to get all the fingers in focus, but that's just my personal preference.
