 This is an osprey surveying its domain. Hence the title King of the Roost. I used auto settings since I didn't have a tripod and I didn't know how long the bird would sit there. Cropped it down tight so it filled the frame.

I thought this looked pretty cool as a negative image. I was also experimenting with spot metering which I still have a lot to learn. The original ended up with a very white sky.

Ooo! I love this one. The composition is wonderful! This is such an effective and interesting way to use the negative image filter. The mood is spooky and dark. Lots of good detail and lots to look at. All that moss is sooo cool! What a find!!
