What you are looking at here is an old ufo-shaped building that has been a car dealership, a restaurant, a house, and a storage building. Now sadly abandoned, it's just rotting out in the elements. It's been there at least 25 years, maybe longer. It's out in the middle of nowhere between Royse City and Quinlan, TX.

Now that I look at it, it makes me think that this is the spaceship that Cousin Eddie would fly if there were to be a "Space Vacation" movie. "Now that there's an RV alien spacecraft." ;)

I figure 5.6 because it at least meets the challenge. I've had such a string of sucky scores that a 5.6 would be awesome at this point. Give a girl a break, voters! :)

Cropped
Auto Contrast
USM
converted to Black & White
Shadow/Highlight tweaking
Color Balance
Curves adjustment
Noise reduction
USM again
add border
Voila! :)

Sad to see that something featured in my art history book is rusting away like that.

I drove past this once about 5 or 6 years ago. Can't quite recall exactly where it is, though I know it is a few miles east of Dallas. Good choice for this challenge.

This picture is a little dull for a sepia tone. This picture is balanced though.

Man I love this shot, it looks like i could have been lifted straight from the pages of a 1950's magazine. Great entry for the challenge and brilliantly executed

Wow thats a really cool [building?]. I like the sepia tone, it gives it that old area 51 feeling. And i like how you captured the textures and small details.

This picture makes me laugh, but in a non-insulting way. I really like the old look, reminds me of the roswell files.
