 I thought it would be nice to take a portrait of our nation's father. Unfortunately George was understandably unavailable so I had to settle for his likeness on a dollar bill. I think the blue threads are a little distracting but I decided that removing them would violate the editing rules, so they stay.
I lit George with a Samigon FRL-1 Ring light with snoot at 100 mm (roughly 4 inches) at 1200 Lux. Given that the Fuji S-9100 is equipped with a wide angle lens, I chose to set the camera to telephoto in order to avoid vignetting from the ring light.

ISO:200, f/3.8, 1/340 second. I corrected George by adjusting the levels, color, contrast, saturation and finished up with the AAA Fames Foto Frame filter (photoshop plug in) with a width of 35, matte: 6 and a green reduction of -3.

This frame is definitely working for me although the picture is of another persons art which I am usually very much against I'll still rank high.

wow- great detail; i like how you did your border also :) I almost wonder if you mangified it with a magnifying glass also or if you just literally snapped this with your macro- amazing capture either way- i look forward to seeing how you did it :)

Nice work. The two scratch marks below George Washington's nose and near his temple distract me a bit. I'm not sure it's a feature of the note (I'm not from the USA) but I was wondering if they could be cloned out.
