 One of my parrot's feathers, up close and personal with the 50mm reversed on my 18-200 zoom. Sunlight through the window; camera propped on the table and I manually moved the feather around to get different views.

Considering the size of the feather (about an inch long) I am really pretty happy with the detail and lighting. Not an exciting pic but should be worth a 5 ... optimistically speaking.

PP - converted from RAW, cropped, white balance, reddened red part more, burnt some noise in background, increased contrast, desaturated a few of the white bits, reduced noise with sharpening, resized, sharpened with noise reduction.

Very busy and confusing composition, not to mention the focus and lighting. I think there is more potential though.
