The Sigma lens that you used for this shot is 2.8 all the way through. This shot would have popped more by using the 2.8 as this would have blurred out the unwanted background. A quick run through levels would also improve image color.

i wonder what the artist was thinking about when he/she made the sculpture - an odd friendship

it clearly meets the spirit of the challenge, but this image seems more like checking off an object from a scavenger hunt rather than finding and presenting a photo as art in a photography challenge
