I do actually wander around the house with this parrot on my head pretty frequently, which some people find ... odd. So I thought I'd try and capture that. Not as odd as it could have been if I could have gotten her to pose longer so I could put some fake bird output (yogurt) on my shirt, but she became impatient with the shoot and flew off. Darn tempermental models!
Light from the window and a couple of table lamps, camera on tripod and manual focus plus timer. Light came out flatter than I like and I should have worn face makeup to avoid the shine, but as I said, my model quit on me so I'm using the best shot I got.
PP - converted from RAW, rotated, cropped, levels, monochrome, increased contrast, added border, resized, sharpened with noise reduction. |

| The lighting on the (human) subject's face is too flat for this to work well in black and white (though the parrot comes out very well). But a fun shot! |
