My friend held his hand still, dropped some dust and sand, and let the wind take it away. The sun was setting behind him.

I would like to thank everyone for their votes! There was a slight breeze, but I guess it's hard to tell. Anyhow, I appreciated your comments and will put them to good use! :)

i hate to state the obvious, but where's the wind?

don't mind me, just being silly...

nice shot, would have been nice to see the dust contrasted against something else, like some grass, or leaves, or even water.

Love it. So simple and nice, makes me come back to it all the time.

Interesting idea nicely done, all I could have wanted to see would be the wind blowing the dust sideways. 6

Nice concept but the lighting needs to highlight the dirt

This is a nice idea and not a all a bad photo. I think it could have been helped with a bit more contrast between the dropping dust and the background.

Really good shot here, find it a little hard to see the dirt because of your background though. You've used your long exposure well, the hand is nice and steady, whilst the dirt is 'flowing' looking. Well done!

I believe this theme would work better in a setting where the falling dirt had a little more contrast with the background. Since both are the same color, some of your motion gets lost... = 5
