You could eliminate some of the bright sky by tilting the photo right at the top and cropping to a vertical comp. It would not get the same effect, but would be cool to see the frame full of that awesome backlit green textures.
Nice find, and good capture to get the details that you wanted well exposed. |

I'm completely enchanged by the overlapping edges creating dark green leafy shapes. Awesome! [eta] And, I'm a big fan of the way photography can flatten things,so that the distant leaves look like they could be close-up miniatures. The busiest minimalist comp I've ever seen. "D

| Great detail, color and lighting. These p&s cameras tend to wash out the details in some photos, but it doesn't take away from the subject at all in this one. |

| I think I maybe would've cropped really tight on the leaves. The pattern, color, and lighting on the leaves is interesting, so perhaps a crop that really showcases that. |

| I really like backlit photos. You're right about the sky on the right, but since I focus on the pattern of the leaves, the sky doesn't bother me that much. |

| I really like this one, Robert. The detail in the back-lit leaves is nice and sharp, and I like the DOF. And I like the smaller and less distinct copies of the subject in the background. I like the centered composition with the symmetrical dark (overlapping) areas in the middle surrounding the one little bit of contrasting color in the image. |

| good detail and patterns, but i think off-centered might be better here. doesn't really lend itself to a centered composition. |
