I very much like the hands being featured in this, i.e. the brightness. (Even better if the end of the worked on piece were darker). Your lighting is excellent. |

Good idea to make this shot B&W. In addition to the other comments, I like the bit of sawdust in the foreground that seems to add to the effect of something going on. |

Your treatment of the hands resulted in my eye being riveted by those knuckles. An interesting combination of the rough & the smooth. |

I pretty much agree with the group. The b&w is good. I also think the hands are a bit too light, but I realize you don't want the image to be flat and dull. |

i like your choice to convert this to b/w - it really accentuates the details in the metal in the foreground, separates the hand from the other tan objects in the color version
i just wonder if the hands are just a bit too bright

Yes, I agree, this one was meant for B&W. Just right! I like the rings in the sanding wheel and the ring on the hand. |

Very nice shot, I like how tightly you've gone in for the shot and the b&w conversion works very well. Maybe I wouldn't have had the hands quite as bright but that's just being really picky! The rest of the lighting is spot on. |

I like the B&W version best. The knuckle on the right hand makes me nervous, because if that was me, you could have used that movie for the title, "There Will Be Blood." |
