Sandhill Crane at the zoo. It seemed so sad looking out through the fence, like someone in jail.

Very poignant and wonderful rich color in this. Excellent composition with the strong use of the diagonal and very good detail. This really should have scored higher in my opinion.

I liked this. Great use of diagonal and the red is beautiful. I did get the sense of sadness out of it so the cage here was totally appropriate for your pic.

This is where titles are important, in this shot, the bird is looking out of the cage. If the title had read "A Bird" then the cage shouldnt have been in the shot. But becuase of the title, we now know that the cage is a major element in this shot. This shot is here to evoke a feeling of sadness, caged up feeling, wanting to free. you have depicted it very well adn I hope that people look at this and realise what you where going for.
