 Shot at the zoo, using sports mode.

PP: crop, lots of noise reduction, Luko Sharpen, Levels, Curves (luminosity), more noise reduction, resized, sharpened slightly, saved for web.

An unusual slice of the flamingo. Love the shape this makes, almost an abstract with bold bold Mondrian colours, but the great OOF background sweetens it up.

Nicely isolated by DOF, and cropped just right too. I never knew that you could see all the way thru a flamingo's nose. Good color and detail in this shot too.

The Sports mode worked very well! I see a sharp, bright subject against a very complilmentary BG. The odd yellow eye is compelling. I learn a lot from your notes & also from your comments on other shots.

This one is nice. Up there in the top of the side challenge for me. I love that eye. Also, nice shallow DOF which is tough with a P&S.
