Stunning and noble. Very nice use of available light (and vignette). I would have done the sharpening you did if that's what it takes to get both the pattern and the spikiness - alas we Pannies have to compensate for our low low light capacity. |

Excellent shot, especially since it was taken through his cage! I also like that he's looking right at you. |

Nice detail in the critter's spiny mane. The light is exactly right for the shot.
I used to keep a couple of iguanas, but I eventually gave them away. They were costing a lot of time and money to feed and to keep warm. Here's a snapshot of them. The one on my leg was about 6 ft long.

I was wondering about the sharpness of this -- something seemed a bit off about the image. It was sharp, yet the details were somewhat lacking. After reading your notes, I see why. I love photographing iguanas, there is so much detail in their skin, yet it is sometimes hard to capture the details, because of the reflective nature of the skin. Often my shots have blown highlights. Nice pose, nice composition, and I like the light and DOF. |

The spike look really sharp (hehe) & the iguana is posing for you very nicely. For fun, it would be interesting to try sharpening by adjusting contrast only, maybe make the white tips of the spikes pop a bit more. Keep on clickin'! |

It is almost like he was posing for you. Great capture and all the sharping does not hurt the image imho. White balance may be a bit off but it works for the photo. |

Nice capture, I like the sharpness of the scales, the "pose" is excellent as well ... only comment, and I may be wrong, but white balance seems a little off |
