 This is a Carolina Allspice, a plant native to the Eastern United States. It has a sweet pineapple like smell. The shrub was on a bank with a road behind it. The wide aperture blurred the road.

Cropped, minor adjustments to contrast, increased vibrance and clarity in Lightroom and sharpened.

For me, the background seems a little too flat for the rest of the image. Perhaps if it were white instead of gray? Interesting flower. I like the maroon color contrast to the green of the leaves.
