| There's just the slightest hint of a shadow on either side of the apple, cast, I'm guessing, by the spigot handle? I'd like to see just a bit more of the fingernail on the bottom finger. Good shot. |

I think if this was the first time I was seeing this image it would have had a more powerful impact on me. However, because a similar image can be seen here  , and I actually find the original a much better photo, this is kind of a turn off. I'm all for copying an idea and putting your own spin on it, but if you do that then you have to make it better IMO. I liked the leaf in the first one, I preferred that the image was centered, the colored background gave it a more "outdoorsy" feel, and with this picture there is a small shadow to the left that I find distracting. I do think it's a good attempt and it's interesting to see an apple instead of an orange, and with a little more effort I think you would have pulled it off, but overall it looses some points for me because it didn't meet the expectations of the previous image. |

| Clever. Have seen some similar to this concept. You've done "ok" with this presentation. The lighting doesn't seem quite right. A little harsh. Did you try a polarizer to control the reflections some? Just a thought. All JMO of course. :-) Good luck in the challenge. |
