I'm going to disagree with alot of the previous comments and say that the shadow is great. It does a great job of anchoring the image and it rounds out the composition. However, if you're including it, it needs to have a crisper definition, or have a greater diffusion of contrast along the edges. This is an easy top ten if the depth of focus extended from the bottom of the image to the end of those parsley leaves in the back. For what it's worth, you got a 7 from me.

This is a great shot for the challenge. I like the green, red and white colors but I think the flowers make it a little too busy. 6

The lighting on the subject is a bit harsh, but the composition is interesting.

I like our picture, that salad looks so fresh, the only thing is the light to the left, is casting harsh shadows.

Really like the colors and sharpness on the tomato. The hard shadow on the table top is distracting.

Very attractive, I like the composition. IMO it could be improved by having a contrasting background color for the white bowl. Also, the shadow detracts from the quality.

Nice, pretty, colorful composition. I like the blue/green background. That little dark triangular area in the middle right is a little distracting from an otherwise very good shot.

Nice arrangement. Lighting is quite harsh. At this distance from the subject, the sprigs in the back half should be in focus also IMO. Line in the upper right, behind the table, is a distraction (move the table on change the POV). Max size allowed for challenges is 640; you didn't use all of it?

Shadows are too harsh, you should have soften your light source.

A little salad with flowers, hope theyre edible. I feel that the background is not contrasty enough. and the orange flowers get a little lost against the red .

shadow is distracting, maybe shot in the shadow againt the pool would have been more appealing?
