To any person who has ever stood in front of this statue of Abraham Lincoln and was not emotionally moved then they did not know this man of virtue. Who was steadfast not just for the principles of equality for all people but asserted himself in times where a nation was on the verge of tearing itself apart. President Lincoln exemplified qualities unknown to politicians in this day and age, qualities like compassion, humility, and faithfulness to his family, his country and to his God.
He once said "Public sentiment is everything. With public sentiment, nothing can fail; without it nothing can succeed."
"Lincoln-Douglas Debate at Ottawa" (August 21, 1858)

Its a bit too grey for me, and I feel like it needs more contrast.

Your tone and graininess add a lot to the mood of this shot. Composition really brings Lincoln to life!

If you had titled it "The most virtuous American President", I'd agree with you. You may as well have called it "The last human being with virtue" and it would be no less true than the title you gave it.
