As it's raining this morning I thought I'd try something a little abstract. I've got a little gorilla pod for the p&s that I've not used yet so when I pulled the tray out of my morning coffee I had an idea!

Manually set the white balance (even easier than the SLR to do), digital macro, attached the gorilla pod to the kitchen roll holder, and set the timer to 2s so there was no shake!

Basic pp, curves, resize, usm, sfw

This is the set up

Grand macro shot. It took me a while to figure out the POV. That was good use of the little Gpod, and the stand. Creative thinking and a good resulting image. the droplets look almost like little blisters.

I love the baubles - oops, bubbles - and how there is a nice vee of them opposite the shadow in the valley of the filter. A psalm to seeing the wonders of the everyday. (Got the littlest pod, but I'm not sure how far I trust it. Thanks for details).

I like it. Hard to imagine this pleasing image came from that coffee tray. I applaud your creativity. BTW, I have a gorilla pod too and find it very useful.

Wow Nice detail on the drops! You can even see the fibers in the filter. Good abstract and very creative thinking!
