This was my first idea for a subject for this challenge. Then I could not find a Pink Flowering Dogwood tree. Course it might have helped if a I looked some more. I looked all over the other side of town and found a couple of white ones and a small pink one that I did not get a decent image off of. So I come home from the other side of town and low and behold there is one a block from where I live. Yeesh. So I shot it on Saturday and Monday. On Monday, I forget the long lens so I could do macro and get some bokeh. No problem....the 18-200 got in fairly close and the bokeh was really good. It had been raining most of the day Monday but I had enough time to shoot and get to a ride to a rehearsal and before a major deluge.

Lovely, and I thought it worked very well in sepia. Glad you found your tree in time!

8 - Very nice. Really like the diagonal line the flowers create in the image. The tones are very nice, especially coupled with the nice bokeh at the rear. Can't help wonder about a fraction more 'depth' somehow, perhaps a tweaking of lighting/contrast, not sure - although it looks like this image would be tricky to tweak without blowing the lighter areas, especially in basic. This was comment #4000 for me - a nice image to do it on, thanks.

Back to comment and bump: The sepia tone really enhances your image nicely. The composition is wonderful and the lighting was perfect to bring out all of the delicate details. Nicely done. 9
