 This boat has been laying outside my office window for the entire winter, and I have just been waiting for the right challenge suitable for this one.
Sharpened and cropped slightly.

I really feel this photograph would have been better without the "blue" color cast. There is simply too much of the sky reflected onto the boat by the snow and it makes everything far too blue. My suggestions would be to show it in monochrome, or maybe with a sepia tone. Personally, I like the red channel of the image.

Compositionwise, the upper right hand corner feels bare. I would really have liked to have seen a cloud up there to offset the metal rod. (My eye wanders through the rod into the dead space).

I think the subject is perfect for the competition.

I am not quite sure I understand how this is out of place but I like the shot. I would like it better though it there was some more color in it. The picture seems a bit washed out and I would like to see more light on the front of the boat so it isn̢۪t so much in the shadows.

Good subject, nice shot, my only knock is that the light seems a bit flat, could you have raised the contrast or the saturation of colors to give it more pop? Also since the contrast is between the boat and the snow, you have too much boat and not quite enough snow in the frame. I dont want to be critical, this is a nice shot, but it could be better.

Good composition, although a shame about the top mast. I like the colorations on the boat, a nice muted color that contrasts with the blue sky and the white snow. Exposure is good and I see how it meets the challenge.
