Wow! Now, that has quite an effect! Feels like those antennae are going to come right out of it ... freaky, but very cool!

A very good shot. A little more focus on the eyes would help this.

DOF is just a bit too shallow - but a great shot nonetheless. Very awesome capture.

Whaouh! Looks like a gremlins to me;-)) great macro! I had never been that close. Hope it is not a female for they have the reputation of eating males after copulation... bravo!

Needs a slightly greater field of focus. The most important element in the shot, the eyes in my opinion, should be in focus.

Ugly looking critter isn't it! But you have put beauty into ugliness, top shot there!

looks like the depth of field here is a little too narrow, as I really find myself wishing those eys were in focus a bit more.

Lucky that insects don't grow as big as we do.. I think that the largest insect is eight inches long. That's quite enough. You have caught the inscrutable nature
and you know there is no such concept as mercy here.

Nice shot, but the eyes seem out of focus and to me they are the focus of the shot.

Wonderful shot. I like the perspective and composition. I wish there were a bit more DOF to cover both eyes though.

I know it's hard to do, but this one needs the extra 1mm of DOF, since only one eye is in focus. Well done though, crop is great, and background is totally neutral.
