Taken in an informal housing "estate" that is on private property, and the farmer wants nothing to do with the residents, and the municipality can't help because it is private.

Lets see, from the bottom:
* Soft dodge & burn layer using Soft Light mode
* Levels - slight adjustment
* Curves - steepened slope in Normal mode
* Hue / Saturation layer to push the red and yellows and pull back the greens, blues and cyans
* Selective Colour layer to move the cyans and blues towards green and yellows and reds towards magenta.
* Levels to push the area around the lady
* Channel Mixer at 40% opacity to tone down all the colours and make it a bit more sombre.
* Sharpen using high pass filter on soft light mode layer
* Resize
* Save for web.

For environmental portraits, I love the wide angle lenses. With a wider lens, you can show more of the place with the person still large in the frame. Particularly with this title, it would be great to see more of the place around this interesting lady.
