Challenge: Out of Place (Basic Editing I)
Camera: Olympus D-370
Location: Sister's room

Aperture: 2.8
ISO: 50
Shutter: 1/4

I thought it was a clever Idea. I had poor lighting, and had to use my old camera, which only has auto-everything, so it didn't come out as well as I think it should have. Lots of tinkering with colors/brightness in PS.

The idea is good but the lighting/flash is to harsh for me

WAY too much flash!!!! i would like to suggest a tripod, a lower aperture (f/stop) value, maybe faster shutter speed, and light source or two. if you cannot set the aperture value or shutter speed then i would suggest a bright light source and plenty of daylight. flashes tend to produce a very harsh light - and yours has burned several spots fairly badly with blown out white. i hope this provides some useful help. not a bad idea though. good luck!

Not very attractive

Focus is on the wrong part of the picture, flash is too harsh, it drowns out the front. Composition is uninteresting with the cactus right in the middle.

The harsh flash and the overexposed foregound give this a very snap-shot feeling. the composition is random enough to be distracting rather than appealing..

Nice idea - the lighting lets it down ...

Nice idea, shame it's overexposed. I wish it was a more imaginative composition... next time try placing your point of focus on one of the intersections of thirds.

fits the topic but the stuffed animals could have been placed and posed differently! I am just a viewer.

This could be better in several ways - there are spots of bad overexposure; it would help if the stuffed toys were arranged in a way that they looked like they were carefully places, not so that you see their backs and most of them are unrecognizable; and perhaps if the cactus wasn't dead center, if the rule of thirds or some such was used in the composition. The idea for the challenge is great, the execution is poor.
