After a long day of fighting the Marine returns to the field garrison. With only enough energy to remove his cover and blouse, he pours himself shot after shot. Memories of lost friends and actions taken to stay alive remain in the forefront of his mind. He has tried to forget, but these memories have failed to be forgotten. A fifth of whisky calms his nerves before he slips into some state of unconsciousness.

Dude - this speaks to me on a number of levels, but mostly on the one that is most desperate and needy. Don't get me wrong - I think this is a brilliant piece of work. There's a lot going on here and I think you portrayed it well. I imagine a lot more additional strong work from you - can't wait to see it.

Ok, looking on a different monitor, I can now see a magazine for a weapon under the cover. But there's something else as well.

Nice job, though.

interesting shot and PP - maybe a little tight over his head.

Well done, but very easy to miss the USMC cover in the dark on the right. At first I thought it was just a guy with a problem. Only the title led me to question and look for more. Only then did I notice the cover. And I still can't tell what that is that the cover is resting on.

Well lit and emotive. Good compostition. I like this one.

Interesting picture. But let down because of a couple of nit-picky things. The carefully lined up shot glasses don't work. And needs a little more light on the right to give the magazines more emphasis.

Beautiful image... without the military hat to the side I don't think it would have been as efficient at telling the story... I just wish perhaps a tighter crop, and it would have been nice to have his fingers and head all in. 8
