Wow! Nothing else needed to be said. This says it all :) What a flawless photo with the wire so crisp and razor sharp. And oh how you NAILED the lighting.

OUCH indeed! I've seen a few on here before like this but I this is different because of the darker background. Really nice DOF, composition, and leading line. And OUCH!

sure hope that isnt all of the cow thats left! and best stay away from that fence, i got ripped with one when i was about 10, they hurt like a...well, they hurt. nice sharp focus!

He was probably just scratchin' an itch! Like the dark bokeh background, and your highlights (did you use a flash?) are just right.

Yowch. Well spotted and taken.

I wonder if it would have a little more impact if you'd shot at a more extreme angle (entry, bottom-right to exit, top-left)?
