I have really enjoyed seeing this series, and I think this is my favourite so far.

Very cool crop here. I love the colors here, they really stand out against the white background. |

Nice crop on this one, and I think the processing is awesome. It was me that asked about the chalkaholic filter, you've acheived the same type of look with your technique. |

Doesn't look over sharpened to me either. I never would have imagined that photos of dead fish could be so INTERESTING!! Is there some kind of an out of the box award for side challenges?? |

The cropping of the lower part leaves me a little dissatisfied, but what is there is oddly appealing. |

I was always a fan of mackerel, ever since the days I lived in Cornwall and fished off the cliffs for them. Hungry days back then, I can tell you. I remember resting my rod on a rock one night only to see it wrenched off the cliff to disappear down into the sea. The sole fellow fisherman cast and caught my line. I hauled in the biggest horse mackerel ever. Out of honour for saving my rod, I gave that nice fish to the fellow. I tied the line to a tree and came back at low tide to retrieve the rod...
I've been enjoying your fish photos, Roger. But my question is: Is that the same fish? Do you yank it out of the fridge and shoot it and then chuck it back in again? Mackerel goes off pretty quickly, as I remember. |

hey, I like the editing your doing here. I agree with cogerox, the lower jaw would be better cropped off. Maybe if you rotate your crop a bit you can achieve it. |

I'm gonna nit pic just a little. You've deliberately chosen to show only the upper half which works quite well, but then to be consistent, I'd rather not see the lower jaw of the open mouth. Excellent colors, lighting and detail. |

Pish-posh about the oversharpening comments. I can see what you're doing and it's a style that is unique and awesome. Bring them on - the fish heads! I want to see something big next - with serious fangs. lol |
