I know a lot of people don't like these birds but I find them incredible. There seems to be a gentleness and understanding in those eyes. They are very family oriented and generally mate for life. Both the mother and father goose raise the goslings.

Good closeup, though in my opinion, there's too little duck here to really show his "beauty". Also, for a closeup of the eye beak and neck it seems slightly (I do mean slghtly) soft. The beak itself seems almost to be out of the DOF range. I think a little more postprocessing sharpening would have jazzed it up a bit. Maybe also cloning out the brown and white spot like hightlights in the water which do grab a little attention away too.

Cutting off the neck from the body worries me. Otherwise, a nice capture. 6

Just a tad out of focus, but a very pleasant and well composed image. The body of this goose--the feathers--are sharp, though!

Focus should have been on head instead of on back of the bird. Good colors and lighting. Maybe also putting the head slightly off-center?

I love how the water is trickling off his beak.
