This was a productive exercise. I managed to get rid of the visible seam and also learned to use layers to even out the sky and create more clouds.

The little dark specks in the lake are a family of ducks.

Zoiks! That is fantastic! I'd be inclined to fill in the donut hole with grass. ;-)
