 Any suggestions for quickest way to edit out those powerlines? Seems like a lot of work to clone them out.

Hey, a year later I found the answer: clone along a path! Very cool advice from the book "Real World Adobe Photoshop CS". Well, now they are gone. Just trust me, there were two ugly powerlines stretching accross the top of the entire image.
