 Would you believe I was on and off the Air Force's Fat boy weight control program at about this time? I was normally riding 30+ miles several times a week and never had any trouble with my yearly aerobics test. But rules is rules and the rules said I was overweight. Maybe I should have taken up smoking to keep the weight down? There was no smoking control program.

Ok, rant over.


Edited to add:
Glad everyone seems to appreciate the tube socks. Since that time, I've learned to wear the low cut little ones with bike logos and funny sayings on them.

Except that it was taken 24 years outside the challenge dates, with a film camera! Thanks tho!

Probably would have scored well in the bike challenge, that was dreadful.
I pulled off my tubes and will get them replaced so I can get on the road again.
