 Taken around 7:00 pm, the scene was difficult to meter and focus correctly as I couldn't see anything through my camera's LCD until the beacon came on (about every 30 seconds).

Adjustments: Processed through Neat Image, contrast and saturation increased slightly in photoshop, resized.

The white specs are actually stars, not hot pixels.

This picture was awarded Kodak's photo of the day for July 16, 2005

All the elements certainly fell into place on this one. Composition is great. I don't see anything in this that I don't like. Nice job! 10 in my book.
